Leslie Acosta Padilla

A proud Honduran, Leslie Acosta Padilla attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Neuroscience and Biology. Passionate about DACA and TPS policy, Leslie participates in marches and creates pamphlets informing DACAmented individuals about their rights. She volunteers regularly with the Latin American Coalition through marches, runs, and neutralization workshops. Leslie has conducted research on undocumented immigrants’ access to healthcare and is currently conducting research on racial inequalities in healthcare. Leslie aspires to become a pediatric neurosurgeon who provides medical services in rural hospitals in Honduras.
