José Cisneros

José Cisneros graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017 with a B.A. in History and an Education minor. José is currently teaching middle school Spanish and Social Studies in Dallas, TX after graduating from University of Notre Dame with an M.Ed. and as ACE Teaching Fellow in July 2019. He was born in México and raised in rural Eastern North Carolina. His hobbies include exploring food (his favorite is Thai!), hiking, and dancing. He was the instructor coach for the first Somos Carolina Summer Academy and greatly enjoyed engaging with students in important conversations and topics, as well as learning and growing alongside an amazing and supportive community.
