Dr.Isaí Robledo

Dean of Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Randolph Community College

Isaí is originally from McAllen, TX but grew up in Candor, NC and is of Mexican descent. Both of his parents grew up as migrant farmworkers, so they instilled the importance of a college education in him from an early age. He began his career in education through the Migrant Education Program in the public school system where he coordinated dropout prevention activities for Latinx high school students and connected their families to school and community resources. He transitioned into the classroom and was a High School Spanish Teacher for 3 years where he enjoyed working directly with students while helping them plan for their futures. This led him to the community college system where he currently works as the Dean of Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Randolph Community College. Isaí holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Wingate University, a master's degree in Romance Languages & Literatures, and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Cultural Foundations, both from UNC Greensboro. Isaí lives in Star with his partner Carrie, their daughter Lydia, and their dog Jax.
