Strategic Planning Intern
Emily Banks is a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Education. Born to a Puerto Rican mother and a father of German/Irish descent, Emily enjoys a bicultural home and carries her family customs into new spaces. She is currently working towards a career as an Elementary Education teacher. At UNC, Emily is involved in the Undergraduate Advisory Council for the School of Education and co-leads the Social Committee with Mi Pueblo. Her dreams consist of creating inclusive, accepting, and social-justice-oriented classroom spaces for her future students to make education more accessible and engaging.
