Anayeli Garcia Villa

Stemming from roots in Mexico, Anayeli Garcia now calls Dobson, North Carolina her hometown. While her passions are far and wide, she is most passionate about environmental issues, Latinx advocacy, and the STEM field. She is currently a high school student soon to be heading to college with plans to become an engineer. Anayeli hopes to connect her interests in STEM with her love for working with others. She recognizes her success is largely thanks to a supportive network and the help of her mentors and family, so she aims to pay it forward by becoming someone who will do the same for others. Anayeli strongly believes that if one of us is successful in our community, we all are successful. That being said, by pursuing her academic and leadership goals, she aims to use her education as a platform to advocate for the rights of her immigrant community.
