A proud child of Colombian immigrants and first-generation college graduate, Dr. Nestor A. Ramirez was drawn to higher education after seeing how college can transform lives. With a Ph.D. in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill, he focuses on underserved students and how geography shapes postsecondary opportunities. Now, he helps collect and analyze national education data to better understand student enrollment, financial aid, and post-college outcomes.
