FAQs
Do I need to be Latinx/Hispanic or speak Spanish to attend?
Nope! This event is open to anyone who cares about education and the Latinx community. If that’s you, we hope you’ll join us.
I noticed ticket prices are different from last year. What’s included in the Summit ticket this year?
Thanks for asking! The Summit ticket guarantees your entrance to the two-day event. It includes five meals. It does not include lodging. However, we have secured an exclusive group rate with Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport Hotel. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This offer expires Thursday, August 24th, 2023 or until we reach the room block capacity.
If I am 36 years old or older, am I able to attend?
Absolutely! We’re offering two ticket types for the Summit: General Admission and Young Professionals (35 years or younger). As part of our commitment to advancing diverse leadership in education and eliminating financial barriers to participation, we’re offering an exclusive ticket type for community members 35 years or younger at a lower rate than our general admissions tickets. We look forward to you joining us!
Can I submit a proposal to speak?
At this time, we are not accepting Summit proposals. However, we may consider proposals for future summits. Let us know if you’re interested here!
What is the dress code?
We encourage all attendees to embrace their personal style and wear clothing items that bring joy and cultural significance. For the overall Summit, business casual attire is welcomed, and feel free to incorporate culturally meaningful elements such as vibrant textiles or stylish hoops.
Will interpretation be provided?
As this is a bilingual event (English + Spanish + Spanglish), our goal is to ensure everyone is able to participate fully by providing simultaneous interpretation support. Please indicate in your registration whether you need language support.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you are participating in Day Two on Saturday, we ask that you bring a laptop device (or mobile device) if possible to participate in a large group activity.
Can I bring children to the event?
You are welcome to bring your children to this event, but please consider the following: childcare will not be provided for this event. We request that you purchase a ticket for your child so we can consider their dietary needs.
