About Our Community Impact

At LatinxEd, lasting change starts within our comunidades. We gather insights, build advocacy networks, and form strategic partnerships to tackle barriers Latine students and families face in accessing higher education. Our mission-aligned and data-driven work ensures our comunidad leads the way in shaping a more inclusive education system.

History

Since our founding in 2018, LatinxEd has grown from a grassroots effort to a statewide movement. The 2021-2022 Somos NC Listening Tour engaged nearly 250 community members, laying the foundation for our policy and advocacy work to drive systemic change.

Purpose

We are committed to transforming educational opportunities for Latine students by addressing systemic barriers through policy advocacy, partnerships, and culturally relevant resources. Our work expands access to higher education and workforce development, empowering Latine students and families to thrive.
