Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Dr. Jatnna Acosta migrated to Brooklyn at age six and later moved to North Carolina for college. She holds degrees in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and a Ph.D. in Urban Literacy from UNC Charlotte. With experience as a bilingual teacher, instructional designer, and program manager, Jatnna now supports workforce development at a national nonprofit. Her passions include educational equity, literacy, teacher leadership, and cultural identity development.
