Brenna is a macro social work intern at LatinxEd, currently completing her second and final year in the Master of Social Work program at UNC Chapel Hill. Originally from New England, she has spent the past year settling into North Carolina and building connections in the Triangle area. Brenna earned her undergraduate degree in 2021 from Gordon College in Massachusetts, where she double-majored in psychology and sociology with a concentration in counseling. After graduating, Brenna worked as a case manager at an inpatient substance use treatment center near Boston, where she collaborated closely with MSW-trained therapists who inspired her to pursue an MSW herself. Her experience working with patients and multidisciplinary teams deepened her commitment to advocating for systemic change and fostering societal structures that better serve all individuals. Motivated to focus on policy and advocacy, Brenna is particularly passionate about advancing equity in public education systems as a catalyst for lasting societal change.
