Biography

Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and raised in Clayton, North Carolina, Brenda Medina is a first-generation college graduate and passionate advocate for the Latinx community. As the Assistant Director of Communications at LatinxEd, she combines her expertise in digital storytelling and advocacy to support Latinx families and promote equitable access to education. Brenda’s journey, shaped by her experiences as the eldest daughter of immigrants and a DACA recipient, fuels her commitment to empowering marginalized communities. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Campbell University and an MBA from the University of Mount Olive, and her work spans legal advocacy, community leadership, and communications.
