Shaped by her journey of immigrating from Mexico and her experiences growing up undocumented in Snow Hill, NC, Mirella Cisneros Perez brings a passionate dedication to educational equity at LatinxEd. With a background in Middle Grades Education from Elon University and a focus on social justice, Mirella has championed equitable access for Latine students through her work with Student U, Elon Academy, and Durham Public Schools. As Programs & Curriculum Specialist, she builds programs that honor Latine identities and empower families to thrive in North Carolina’s education system.
