Raised in Clinton, NC, Marcela Torres-Cervantes is a proud Mexicana with a passion for education and advocacy. She holds a BA in Sociology from George Washington University and a Master of Education from the University of Georgia. Now serving as Assistant Director of the Carolina Latinx Center, Marcela focuses on Latine advocacy, mental health, and student identity development in higher education.
