With roots in Mexico and El Salvador, Alan Rojas-Rodriguez is deeply committed to advancing educational equity and access for Latinx students and other underrepresented communities. A first-generation college student from Winston-Salem, NC, Alan is currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense, with a minor in Data Science, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Alan brings extensive leadership experience to his work, having served as Co-President of Mi Pueblo UNC, the university’s largest Latinx-based student organization, and as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. He is also a proud Hermano of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Fraternity Inc., which is dedicated to increasing educational opportunities for minority students. Alan’s passion for education drives his aspirations to pursue a Ph.D. in Education, with the goal of creating pathways for academic success and unlocking the potential of future generations.
