Director of Community Impact at LatinxEd

Born in CD Juarez, Chihuahua, and raised in Winston-Salem, NC, Yahel Flores serves as the Director of Community Impact at LatinxEd and is a current DACA recipient. Before joining LatinxEd, Yahel was the Carolinas State Director for the American Business Immigration Coalition & ABIC Action (501c3 and 501c4), where he championed commonsense bipartisan immigration policies on both national and state levels. Yahel brings a wealth of experience across multiple sectors, including supply chain management, international imports, sales, finance, and entrepreneurship. His community service is evident in his roles on prominent statewide boards and task forces, including the Governor's Advisory Council for Hispanic and Latino Affairs (former chair of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee) and The Andrea Harris Equity Task Force. He also serves on the Hispanic League’s PyME Committee and the North Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board. Recognized for his impact, Yahel was honored as one of the Triad Business Journal's 20 in their 20s in 2022, selected as the keynote speaker for the Consulado de Mexico's 2022 Dream Foro, and joined the 2023 LatinxEd Fellowship, a network advancing Latinx leadership and education equity in North Carolina.
