Silvia Martin del Campo

Director of Latinx Education at McDowell Tech Community College

Silvia Martin del Campo is the Director of Latinx Education at McDowell Tech Community College with 15 years of teaching experience in Dual Language programs in Mexico City and North Carolina. She helps students identify their strengths and use them to their advantage. Silvia takes time to listen to each student and works with them to find the best solution to their academic needs, helping motivate them to finish what they started. Over the past few months, Silvia has gained recognition at MTCC by starting programs in Spanish, college websites in Spanish, and finding ways to serve the Hispanic community better. She is currently serving as a board member at McDowell’s Public Library and McDowell Arts Council, being the liaison between the organization and the community, bringing opportunities for all. She was a board member of Centro Unido Latino in 2020-2021.
