Sergio Madera-Garcia

Curriculum Specialist at Emily K Center

Sergio is a second-year graduate student at North Carolina State University, finishing his last year earning his Masters in Higher Education Administration. At the university, he oversees a leadership development program that serves all students at the institution and curates leadership workshops. Before moving to Raleigh, Sergio attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a double minor in Spanish and Leadership Studies. Here, he became connected to his social identities, culture, and his "why". Using his skills on a local and national scope, he aims to bridge the gaps that hinder marginalized and underrepresented communities through education, community outreach, and his fraternity.
