Sam Gomez Olvera

Born in Mexico, Zabdi Sam Gomez Olvera immigrated to the United States when he was six months old. A Golden Door Scholar, he attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Passionate about undocumented and immigration issues, Sam is a member of UNC's undocumented and DACAmented resource team, which provides resources for undocumented students at UNC, and has also lobbied in Washington D.C. Sam aspires to work as a software engineer or a penetration tester at a Fortune 500 company and teach programming to Latinx communities.
