Roberto Negrete

Roberto Negrete was born and raised in Newton, N.C. but is of Mexican descent. He is a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill and currently majoring in Anthropology as a first-generation college student. Some of his hobbies are playing guitar, gaming, and singing just for fun. He loves to travel and hopes to do it more often in the future. He is a proud Hermano of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. and is passionate about his fraternity’s goal of providing Latino students with the academic, cultural and social support necessary to excel in institutions of higher learning. He was part of the first Somos Carolina instructor cohort and had an enriching summer experience learning how to be an instructor and working with students.
