Rezilience Williamson

Rezilience Williamson is a senior at Duke University from Mebane, NC. At Duke, Rezilience is a Rubenstein Scholar, Duke Chronicle Writer, and Continuing Education Director for a Sexual Wellness group. They are majoring in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Education and pursuing a Teaching License in Elementary Education. They hope to serve at the elementary level by advocating for learning resources and support for students to build excellent foundations for middle school and high school. As an inspiring educator, Rezilience tends to move with their arms wide and their vision panoramic as they try to include as many people in whatever they do while also remaining mindful of the environment and climate surrounding them. Rezilience is also a Black Queer poet. They believe that poetry is a powerful source for liberation, exploration, and community building. And they have really been able to reclaim their narrative and embrace healing through poetry. Rezilience is excited to use storytelling to raise awareness issues and successes regarding the Latinx community and improve fundraising efforts.
