Eloy Omar Macias

Board Member

Eloy Omar Macias was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and moved to the United States at the age of 11. Having been a student in the Scholar Latino Initiative, and being sensitive to the hardships that follow acclimating to a new country’s education system, Eloy has always sought to aid and improve education for Hispanic students. Eloy Macias is a graduate of Lee County High School in Sanford, NC, and currently attends Western Governors University pursuing a cybersecurity bachelor’s degree. Eloy’s career field has been in Information Technology, having worked for Lee County School System for six years and currently working for Wake County Schools System. Eloy is a board member for MINA Charter School of Lee County. He devotedly serves as the Vice-Chair for the Operations Committee and Chair for the Media Outreach Committee.
