Nancy Ramos

Student at Durham Technical Community College

Nancy Ramos is a student of Durham Technical Community College pursuing a cosmetology degree while also enrolled at UNC Greensboro studying entrepreneurship. Outside of school, Nancy is on the board of the Durham Mayor's Hispanic Latino Committee where she advocates for the needs of the Latinx community facing changes in housing developments, financial assistance, education, and health. Another focus of hers is the empowerment of women's voting power through her work at the Supermajority where she educates women of all identities on the power and importance of their vote. She wanted to join the LatinxEd Fellowship to improve on her storytelling and advocacy skills while building on her knowledge of leadership as the number of communities she is a part of continues to grow.
