Nancy Ayala (she/ella) is a Peruvian from Iquitos, Peru. She immigrated to the U.S at the age of 10 and has been living in North Carolina ever since. She is currently a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Global Studies and Hispanic Studies and a minor in Translation and Interpreting. At UNC, she is the Community Chair for Mi Pueblo, ISLA tutor, member of the ASL club, and Carolina First. In the future, she plans to become an Overseas Interpreter or Government Affair Specialist, with the hopes of helping the Latinx community by becoming a bridge between Spanish and English speakers and providing resources needed by them.
