Nancy Ayala (she/ella) is a Peruvian from Iquitos, Peru. She immigrated to the U.S at the age of 10 and has been living in North Carolina ever since. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Global Studies and Hispanic Studies and a minor in Translation and Interpreting. At UNC, she was the Translator for MELT and a member of Carolina First. In the future, she plans to become an Overseas Interpreter or Government Affair Specialist, with the hopes of helping the Latinx community by becoming a bridge between Spanish and English speakers and providing resources needed by them.
