Maria Pulido Ramirez was born and raised in El Nanche, Veracruz México. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 6 and has since lived in Siler City, North Carolina. She is a proud product of Chatham County Schools and graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School in 2012. She obtained an Associate in the Arts from Central Carolina Community College in 2018, and aspires to pursue higher education, specifically in the field of Psychology. She is committed to continue to serve her community through the education system. She is an advocate for children and hopes to create positive and lasting change for children of color. Teaming up with an organization like LatinxEd will help broaden her knowledge of the education barriers within her community and develop her skills to continue to thrive in her new role moving forward. Maria enjoys journaling and spending time with her family. She is a mom of 3 beautiful children.
