Lizzy Laufters

Lizzy Laufters (she/her/hers) is from Raleigh, NC. Her parents immigrated from Honduras in 1999 and have taught her the value of keeping in touch with her culture in another country. She is a junior majoring in Advertisement and Public Relations in the UNC Hussman School of Media and Journalism. She is also minoring in Education. At UNC, she is involved with the on-campus fashion magazine Coulture as their Director of Outreach and Finance, works with the UNC Women's Soccer Team, and is the Communications intern for UNC Allied Health Science, a department within the UNC School of Medicine. She has worked with other educational nonprofits within NC such as MyFutureNC and NC Ed Corps and is excited to work with LatinxEd and help the Latinx community. Her role focuses on bettering the structure and engagements of LatinxEd's website and incorporating a historical timeline of LatinxEd's creation.
