Laura McLaughlin Gonzalez (she/her) is a co-founding member of One Journey Together LLC, which aims to equip educators to create meaningful learning environments for immigrant and refugee youth, especially unaccompanied children. She previously served as a faculty member in the School of Education at UNCG, focusing on community-engaged methods to support educational access for Latinx immigrant families. Laura created Padres Promoviendo Preparación, a college knowledge psychoeducational group for Spanish-speaking parents, and So Much Potential, a website providing resources for school personnel to support effective college planning with youth regardless of their legal immigration status. A 5th/6th generation Scots-Irish-German American, she is married to a Panamanian immigrant, and they live in Greensboro, NC.
