Keila Vasquez (she/ella) is the daughter of two immigrants, one from Michoacán, Mexico and the other from Retalhuleu, Guatemala. She is a Junior at the University of North Carolina majoring in Psychology, B.S. with a minor in Translation and Interpreting. At UNC, she is a member of the Health Careers Club and works as an Intern for the Carolina Higher Education Opportunity Programs Office. In the future, she hopes to one day give back to her community and provide the students the necessary tools to want to seek higher education through mentorship as well as develop a career in user experience design research.
