Chief Growth Officer at Our Turn

Kayla Morais is an experienced leader, educator, and dedicated youth organizer who has worked to ensure that youth of color, particularly those who are undocumented, have access to quality education opportunities. She initially organized across North Carolina after teaching 8th grade Social Studies and now serves as Our Turn's Chief Growth Officer, where she leads the organization’s impact strategy by overseeing local and national campaigns, new site and initiative development, and partnership engagement. Our Turn is a national nonprofit that is committed to centering young people's leadership, collective power, and lived experience to fight for an equitable and just education system where all students thrive. Kayla is also a proud mother and mija, a disruptor of the status quo, a yoga instructor, and a Colorado Native.
