Jennifer Prestegui-Martinez is a recent first-generation Mexican-American graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a double major in Psychology and Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences. During her undergraduate career, Jennifer developed a passion for audiology, which she plans to further by pursuing a doctorate in the field. Her commitment to research and community service is evident through her recognition as a Carolina Research Scholar and her involvement in various research projects. Notably, Jennifer explored language development in children who are dual-language learners and contributed to the CHAD Program, a UNC Health initiative providing long-term loaner hearing aids to children facing financial barriers due to statutory reasons.
