Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Jennifer Patino-Perez recently graduated from the Middle College at UNC Greensboro and will be completing her undergraduate degree at Guilford College. Passionate about education, youth activism, and immigration issues, Jennifer has dedicated the past year to volunteering and interning at the National Conference of Community and Justice (NCCJ), where she helped lead student engagement activities and conferences for high schools in Guilford County and taught students about race, gender, and other social issues. As a member of Let’s Learn Triad, Jennifer helps provide resources to undocumented students, including through college workshops and lobbying workshops. She is also an engaged activist, helping lead her school’s walkout for March for Our Lives. Jennifer plans to become an AmeriCorps volunteer in Greensboro, and eventually attend graduate school for her Master’s in Public Policy and open a nonprofit to provide resources for the immigrant community.
