Jenice Ramirez-Garvin, a proud Latina with roots in Puerto Rico, has spent over 14 years transforming education in North Carolina. As Co-Executive Director of Education Justice Alliance since January 2023, she is committed to dismantling the school to prison & school to deportation pipeline and other systemic barriers that disproportionately affect Black, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and students with disabilities. Jenice advocates for equity, bilingualism, and leadership & strives to change to transform our schools to ensure all students have access to the best quality public education in North Carolina. She is a lifelong educator & her most important role, a mother to her 7 year old daughter, Iva.
