Isaac Carreño

Isaac Carreño is a first-generation Mexican- American. Isaac is proud of his heritage, with roots from Michoacán, Mexico. He is a senior at Wayne School of Engineering at Goldsboro High School and serves as president of the Key Club. He has also served as his class president. Isaac volunteers as a tutor at a local middle school as well as with migrant children who need tailored assistance as they integrate into the American school system. He has started the process of implementing a tutoring program across his local county that serves Latinx students. He hopes to study law, serve in some aspect of the American government, and continue advocating for equity and equality in Eastern North Carolina.
