Site Director at CWS Charlotte

Gricelda is a daughter of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college graduate who grew up with her five siblings in North Carolina. She has a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and a Master's degree in Public Administration. In 2014, she joined the effort in Charlotte to support the influx of unaccompanied immigrant children. For seven years, she supported children through Newcomer Services at Harding High School and later at Independence High School. In 2021, she traveled to San Diego to an Emergency Influx Shelter, where she supported the reunification process of children with their loved ones. In 2022, she continued to work with immigrant children by providing post-release services. Today, she is the Site Director for the new CWS Charlotte office, where she leads the Home Study and Post-Release Services program (HS-PRS) for CWS Global. Through the HS-PRS Program, her team provides ongoing assistance and connects children to community-based resources. She serves as a Board Member for the nonprofit Latin American's Working for Achievement, where she co-chairs their scholarship committee. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
