Francisco Martinez

My name is Francisco Martinez, and I am a first-generation Mexican student. I'm a big baseball fan, and I love hanging out with friends and making memories. I'm a middle grades major concentrating in Mathematics and Social Studies, attending Appalachian State. I will be graduating in 2024, and I plan on continuing my education by attending graduate school once I graduate. I am a member of the Appalachian Community of Education Scholars, and I am an Education Peer Ambassador for Appalachian State. I want to become a teacher because I want to improve our education system. I want it to become fun and engaging where students get a quality education while having a great time. I also want to become a teacher to give students of Latin descent a quality education that so many of us lacked because of our disadvantages with language and not having family members who previously attended school here in the United States.
