Francisco Martinez

Francisco Martinez is a first-generation Mexican student. He is a big baseball fan and loves hanging out with friends and making memories. Francisco is a middle grades major concentrating in Mathematics and Social Studies at Appalachian State. He will be graduating in 2024, and plans on continuing his education by attending graduate school. He is a member of the Appalachian Community of Education Scholars, and an Education Peer Ambassador for Appalachian State. He wants to become a teacher because he wants to improve the education system by creating a fun and engaging environment where students get a quality education while having a great time. Francisco also want to become a teacher to give students of Latin descent a quality education that so many have lacked because of disadvantages with language and not having family members who previously attended school in the United States.
