Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Flor Isela Macias-Chavez is currently an undergraduate student at Campbell University. In her studies, she is working towards a Biology Pre-PA major with a minor in Spanish and Accounting. Her family and their journey to the United States has provided much support and motivation to Flor as she pursues her multiple academic goals and serves in various leadership positions in her Sanford community and beyond. To further her education, she aspires to enter a dual masters program for Physician Assistants and Public Health and to obtain an education abroad studying Ethnobotany. One of her goals is to reduce the number of chemicals we consume in medicine and promote more preventive natural medicine. Flor aims to use her education to improve and enhance her community's healthcare opportunities and knowledge of preventive medicine.
