Medical Interpreter at Atrium Health

Fabbiana Gutierrez has served in a range of positions from coordinator to administrative staff in many non-profit organizations including the YMCA, Latin American Coalition, and Center for Prevention Services in Alianza Drug-Free Community. As a Queen's University of Charlotte alumna, Fabbiana continued the motto “not to be served, but to serve” with her passion project hosting art workshops that encourage first and second-generation high school youth to embrace their acculturation journeys. Efforts were funded by the City of Charlotte through the Jumpstart Grant Program. As a certified mental health first aider through Mental Health America - Central Carolinas, she trained Spanish community leaders and equip them with resources needed to support people struggling with mental health issues. She is also a member of the Latin American Education Committee. Fabbiana values art, mental health, and educational efforts that support the overall well-being of youth. Currently, she works as a Spanish Interpreter at Atrium Health and as an ELL Civics teacher at Wake Tech College, NC.
