David Silvia

David Silvia is a soon-to-be graduate of UNC Chapel Hill having studied Hispanic Linguistics and Sustainability Studies. He has experience teaching English and volunteering as a tutor at Enric Valor - CFPA in Alzira, España. He is currently searching for post-graduation jobs and hopeful to find opportunities in teaching and working on renewable energy projects. He was born in Florida, but his father’s parents are from the Azores. Some of his hobbies include soccer, skating, cooking and hiking, and he also competes for UNC’s Ski & Snowboard Team. He was part of the first Somos Carolina instructor cohort and he enjoyed exploring identity and culture - essential building blocks in education and life - with his students.
