Dana Diaz Cuellar

Director of Student Life at Sandhills Community College

Dana Cuellar is a passionate Latina who has spent the last twelve years gaining the experience and knowledge needed to make a positive impact on her community. Born and raised in North Carolina, her journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of being a leader in the Latinx community. Dana holds an associate degree in human services technology from Central Carolina Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Currently, she serves as the Director of Student Life at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC. In this capacity, she inspires student leaders to reach new heights of success and fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. She is excited to join this year’s cohort for the LatinxEd Fellowship and is looking forward to meeting other fellows who share the same passion for being leaders in the Latinx community.
