Cristo Salazar is a NC first generation student born to Mexican immigrant parents. Cristo is the product of NC public schools and has worked in the non-profit sector for about 5 years advocating for education and immigration rights. He is currently still attending Wake Tech to finish his associates and then hopes to go on and continue his education and peruse a degree in political science. Cristo currently works at the Southeast Immigrant Rights Network as the Leadership and Development coordinator working alongside directly impacted immigrant grassroot leaders. As well as serving on many boards that focus on youth leadership, education and immigration advocacy.
