Angel Gaona

Born and raised in North Carolina, Angel Rodolfo Gaona graduated from North Lenoir High School and is a current sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Biology. Passionate about increasing opportunity for access to higher education among students of color and low-income students, he helps teach leadership skills to students, preparing them academically and mentally to excel. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, working under the hood of a car, playing soccer, and reading poetry. He aspires to go to medical school and become a cardiovascular surgeon.
