College y Consejos Communications Assistant
Ana Pardo Monroy (she/ella) is a Mexican-Spanish immigrant from CDMX. She is a senior at UNC Chapel Hill, double majoring in Human Development and Family Studies and Global Studies centered on Latin America. At UNC, prior to the pandemic she worked as a bilingual patient navigator in UNC Children’s Hospitals. Currently, she spends her time working with children in the community. In the future she hopes to bring together her educational background and her global background, to work hand in hand with communities and aid in necessary project development. She hopes her work will be specifically focused on supporting and aiding Latine children and women, helping them gain educational opportunities as well as reproductive opportunities, healthcare, and control. Ana is working as a communications assistant for LatinxEd’s “College y Consejos.” Ana is excited to come back to support families and students through their college process and to learn from the people and experiences she encounters through her work with LatinxEd as well as work with the amazing (growing) team.
