Alexandra is a born and raised North Carolinian. She a first-generation Mexican American and a first-generation college student. She received undergraduate degree in psychology with a double minor in exercise science and Spanish from Appalachian State University in 2018. Shortly after she got married in July of 2019. She is also a very proud dog mom to two pit bulls named Banks and Cash. Her experience in social work started working for the Department of Social Services of Guilford County in January of 2020. Through this job she realized her passion for social work and decided to pursue her MSW. She has a great interest in working with immigrants and first-generation youth. Alexandra is excited to be joining the LatinxEd team because she believes that the impact of our work on young minds will lead to better representation of nuestra gente in all spaces.
